Product Overview
Tag | Fc |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | O76061 |
Synonym | STC-2, STCRP |
Background | STC2 is a secreted, homodimeric glycoprotein which expressed in a wide variety of tissues. STC2 has an anti-hypocalcemic action on calcium and phosphate homeostasis. It may have autocrine or paracrine functions. Its C-terminus contains a cluster of histidine residues which may interact with metal ions. STC2 has 1 of its 15 cysteine residues conserved among stanniocalcin family members and is phosphorylated by casein kinase 2 exclusively on its serine residues. It may play a role in the regulation of renal and intestinal calcium and phosphate transport, cell metabolism, or cellular calcium/phosphate homeostasis. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the human STC2 (O76061) (Met1-Arg302) was expressed with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus. |
Source | HEK293 |
Predicted N Terminal | Thr 25 |
AA Sequence | Met1-Arg302 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant human STC2/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 519 a.a. and has a predicted molecular mass of 57.7 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 63 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
