Product Overview
Tag | N/A |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | NP_065115.3 |
Synonym | KMT5A, PR-Set7, SET07, SET8 |
Background | KMT5A (known as PR-Set7/9, SETD8 and SET8), a member of the SET domain containing methyltransferase family specifically targeting H4K2 for methylation, has been implicated in multiple biological processes.Inhibition of KMT5A attenuated proliferation and induced apoptosis. Elevated KMT5A expression was significantly correlated with extrathyroidal extension, lymph node metastasis and advanced pathological stage of papillary thyroid cancer. KMT5A may be a novel oncogenic factor, specifically a regulator for lipid metabolism in papillary thyroid carcinoma. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the human SETD8 (NP_065115.3) (Lys 195-His 352) was expressed and purified, with two additional amino acids (Gly & Pro) at the N-terminus. |
Source | E.coli |
Predicted N Terminal | Gly |
AA Sequence | Lys 195-His 352 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant human SETD8 comprises 160 a.a. and has a predicted molecular mass of 18.2 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 18 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions as predicted. |
Purity | >98% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | Please contact us for more information. |
Bioactivity | Please contact us for detailed information |
Formulation | Lyophilized from sterile 20mM Tris, 100mM NaCl, pH 8.0. |
Stability | The recombinant proteins are stable for up to 1 year from date of receipt at -70°C. |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Storage | Store the protein under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
