Product Overview
Tag | GST |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | BC003046 |
Synonym | PME-1 |
Background | Protein phosphatase methylesterase 1 (PPME1) conducts the demethylation of the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) and leads to inactivation of the phosphatase (1). It is demonstrated that PPME1 binds directly to the active site of PP2A and evicts the manganese ions required for the phosphatase activity (2). PPME1 is also reported to protect ERK activity in human malignant glioma (3). |
Description | Recombinant human mature form of PPME1 (2-end) was produced by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells, fused with a GST tag at N-terminus. This protein is purified with our unique purification methods. |
