Background | LIN28 is a marker of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells and it increases the productivity of the formation of induced pluripotent stem cells from human fibroblasts. LIN28 acts as a 'translational enhancer and therefore leading specific mRNAs to polysomes and causes an increased protein synthesis. LIN28 binds let-7 pre-miRNA and blocks production of the mature let-7 microRNA in mouse embryonic stem cells. |
Description | Recombinant Human LIN28 expressed in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 222a.a. (including 13- residue C-terminal TAT peptide) and having a molecular weight of 24.4kDa.The LIN28 is purified by unique purification methods. |
