Loss of function mutations in FGG have been associated with fibrinogen deficiency. FGG mRNA was expressed abnormally in HCC and elevated plasma fibrinogen may serve as a useful predictor of clinical progression of HCC patients.
A DNA sequence encoding the human FGG (NP_068656.2) (Val169-Leu453) was expressed.
Predicted N Terminal
The recombinant human FGG consists of 285 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 32.2 kDa.
