Host Species | Human |
Accession | NM_032574 |
Synonym | Cps25; HDPY-30; Saf19 |
Background | As a core subunit of the SET1/MLL histone methyl-transferase complexes, DPY30 modulates H3K4 methylation in vitro, and directly regulates chromosomal H3K4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) throughout the mam-malian genome. The methylation event has been shown to affect embryonic stem cells (ESCs) maintenance and differentiation. Depletion of Dpy-30 does not affect ESC self-renewal, but significantly alters the differentiation potential of ESCs, particularly along the neural lineage. |
