Synonym | Betatrophin, Angiopoietin-like protein 8, Lipasin, C19orf80, Angptl8, RIFL, TD26, PRO1185, PVPA599. |
Background | Chromosome 19 Open Reading Frame 80 (C19ORF80) is a significant new regulator of lipid metabolism which regulates serum triglyceride levels, possibly by promoting ANGPTL3 cleavage. C19ORF80 belongs to the ANGPTL protein family. C19ORF80 is a hormone which specifically promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation and beta cell mass expansion, thus improving glucose tolerance. C19ORF80 is mainly expressed in the liver; it is also expressed in adipose tissues. C19ORF80 is expressed in response to food intake. |
Description | C19ORF80 Human Recombinant expressed in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 22-198) containing 187a.a. including a 10 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular weight is 21.1kDa (calculated). |
