Product Overview

Tag His
Host Species Human
Accession P55789
Synonym ALR, ERV1, HERV1, HPO, HPO1, HPO2, HSS
Background Alterations in GFER gene have been associated with progressive mitochondrial myopathy, congenital cataracts, hearing loss, developmental delay, lactic acidosis and respiratory chain deficiency in 3 siblings born to consanguineous Moroccan parents by homozygosity mapping and candidate gene approach. Using homozygosity mapping, we discovered that a mutation in the GFER gene causes an infantile mitochondrial disorder.
Description A DNA sequence encoding the human GFER (P55789-2) (Met1-Asp125) was expressed with a His tag at the N-terminus.
Source E.coli
Predicted N Terminal His
AA Sequence Met1-Asp125
Molecular Weight The recombinant human GFER consists of 143 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 17.3 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 18 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Purity >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE
