Product Overview
Tag | GST |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | BC014546 |
Synonym | ARP2 |
Background | Belongs to the actin-related protein (Arp) superfamily whose primary sequences exhibited similarity, but not identity, to conventional actin. Along with Arp3 and 5 other proteins, ACTR2 makes up the evolutionary conserved Arp2/3 complex that was ï¬rst identiï¬ed in Acanthamoeba using proï¬ling afï¬nity chromatography and is an essential and ubiquitous component of the actin filament network. Functions as ATP-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex which is involved in regulation of actin polymerization and together with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF) mediates the formation of branched actin networks. |
Description | Full-length recombinant human ACTR2 was produced by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells, fused with a GST tag at N-terminus. This protein is purified with our unique purification methods. |
