Product Overview
| Description | Native Human Cathepsin G is a neutral serine protease stored in the azurophil granules of neutrophils. It is a key effector molecule of the innate immune system, playing a multifaceted role in host defense, inflammation, and tissue remodeling. Unlike the cysteine cathepsins (L, H) found in lysosomes of many cells, Cathepsin G is a serine protease with a chymotrypsin-like specificity, primarily released in the inflammatory milieu. |
