Product Overview
Tag | N/A |
Host Species | Human |
Synonym | IFN-alpha 1a, IFN-a 1a, IFN alpha 1a. |
Background | At least 23 different variants of IFN-alpha are known. The individual proteins have molecular masses between 19-26 kDa and consist of proteins with lengths of 156-166 and 172aa. All IFN-alpha subtypes possess a common conserved sequence region between amino acid positions 115-151 while the amino-terminal ends are variable. Many IFN-alpha subtypes differ in their sequences at only one or two positions. Naturally occurring variants also include proteins truncated by 10aa at the carboxy-terminal end. |
Description | IFN-alpha 1a Human Recombinant expressed in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 167a.a. and having a molecular weight of 19.5kDa. The IFNA1A ( V115A ) is purified by unique purification methods. |

Formulation | The IFN-a 1a protein was lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 3% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.05% Tween-80. |
Stability | Recombinant protein is stable for 12 months at -70°C |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Storage | LyophilizedIFNA1A although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IFN-alpha 1a should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
