| Storage Condition | 1. Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. 2. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 3. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week. 4. In general, protein in liquid form is stable for up to 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. Protein in lyophilized powder form is stable for up to 12 months at -20°C/-80°C. |
| Reconstitution Instruction | Briefly centrifuged the vial prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. It is recommended to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. The default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. |
| Applications | Positive Control; Immunogen; SDS-PAGE; WB |
| Research Area | Neuroscience |
| Target Function | Inactivates MAP kinases. Has a specificity for the ERK family. Plays an important role in alleviating chronic postoperative pain. Necessary for the normal dephosphorylation of the long-lasting phosphorylated forms of spinal MAPK1/3 and MAP kinase p38 induced by peripheral surgery, which drives the resolution of acute postoperative allodynia. Also important for dephosphorylation of MAPK1/3 in local wound tissue, which further contributes to resolution of acute pain. Promotes cell differentiation by regulating MAPK1/MAPK3 activity and regulating the expression of AP1 transcription factors. |
| Subcellular Location | Cytoplasm. |
| Protein Family | Protein-tyrosine phosphatase family, Non-receptor class dual specificity subfamily |
| Associated Diseases | Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism 19 with or without anosmia (HH19) |
| Tissue Specificity | Expressed in keratinocytes (at protein level). |
