background Interleukin 17A (IL17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T-lymphocytes. It is a potent inducer of the maturation of CD34-positive hematopoietic precursors into neutrophils. The transmembrane protein encoded by this gene (interleukin 17A receptor; IL17RA) is a ubiquitous type I membrane glycoprotein that binds with low affinity to interleukin 17A. Interleukin 17A and its receptor play a pathogenic role in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Like other cytokine receptors, this receptor likely has a multimeric structure.
description Recombinant Human Interleukin-17 receptor A is expressed by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Leu33-Trp320 is expressed with a Fc tag at the C-terminus.
source Human Cells
AA sequence Leu33-Trp320
purity >90% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
endotoxin <0.1 ng/µg (1 EU/µg) as determined by LAL test.
bioactivity Measured by its ability to inhibit IL-17-induced IL-6 secretion by NIH‑3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is less than 200 ng/ml.
formulation Recombinant Human IL17RA Protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
reconstitution Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
usage For Research Use Only
storage Human IL17RA protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.
