Recombinant Mouse WIF1 Protein
Beta LifeScience
SKU/CAT #: BL-4359PS
Catalog No.: BL-4359PS
Product Overview
Tag | His |
Host Species | Mouse |
Synonym | Wntinhibitory factor 1, WIF-1, Wif1. |
Background | WIF1 binds to wnt proteins and inhibits their activities. WIF1 plays a role in mesoderm segmentation. WNT proteins are extracellular signaling molecules that take part in the control of embryonic development & cancer. WIF1 protein contains a WNT inhibitory factor (WIF) domain and 5 epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains. WIF1 takes part in mesoderm segmentation. WIF1 protein is found to be present in fish, amphibia and mammals. WIF1 is a recurrent target in human salivary gland oncogenesis. Downregulation of WIF1 takes part in the development and progression of pleomorphic adenomas. WIF1 is a tumor suppressor, specifically in nonfunctioning pituitary tumors. |
Description | WIF1 expressed in Sf9 Insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 359a.a. (29-379a.a.) andhaving a molecular weight of 39.4kDa. (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear atapproximately 40-57kDa).WIF1 is expressed with an 8a.a. His tag atC-Terminus and purified by unique purification methods. |
