Synonym FGFR1, BFGFR, CD331, CEK, FGFBR, FGFR-1, FLG, FLT-2, FLT2, HBGFR, HH2, HRTFDS, KAL2, N-SAM, OGD, bFGF-R-1, ECCL, fibroblast growth factor receptor 1
Background Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1), also known as basic fibroblast growth factor receptor 1, fms-related tyrosine kinase-2 / Pfeiffer syndrome, and CD331, is a receptor tyrosine kinase whose ligands are specific members of the fibroblast growth factor family. FGFR1 has been shown to be associated with Pfeiffer syndrome.FGFR1 is a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) family, which in addition to FGFR1, includes FGFR2, FGFR3, FGFR4, and FGFRL1. FGFR1-4 are cell surface membrane receptors that possess tyrosine kinase activity.
Description A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Glu 376) of mouse FGFR1 isoform 1 was as fused with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.
Source HEK293
Predicted N Terminal Arg 22
AA Sequence Met 1-Glu 376
Molecular Weight The secreted recombinant mouse FGFR1/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer consists of 596 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 66.5 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of rmFGFR1/Fc monomer is approximately 100-110 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
Purity >97% as determined by SDS-PAGE
Endotoxin < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method
Bioactivity Measured by its ability to inhibit mouse FGF acidic (aFGF/FGF1) dependent proliferation of Balb/C 3T3 mouse fibroblasts. The ED50 for this effect is typically 6-25 ng/mL in the presence of 0.5 ng/mL of mouse FGF acidic (aFGF/FGF1).
Formulation Recombinant Mouse FGFR1 Protein (Fc Tag) was lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4
Stability Recombinant Mouse FGFR1 protein is stable up to 1 year at -70°C
Usage For Research Use Only
Storage Store the protein under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
