| Background | WLS (Wnt trafficking regulator) is a multipass transmembrane protein which regulates the sorting and secretion of Wnt protein. WLS is necessitated for organogenesis during embryogenesis and for the establishment of the anterior-posterior axis. WLS is encoded by a gene which maps to human chromosome 1 and is expressed as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms. WLS promotes various cancers such as glioma tumourigenesis. |
