Host Species Human
Synonym Vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 26A, Vesicle protein sorting 26A, hVPS26, VPS26A, VPS26, HB58, PEP8A, Hbeta58.
Background Vacuolar protein sorting-associated protein 26A (VPS26A) is a vital element of the retromer complex, which is required to recover lysosomal enzyme receptors (IGF2R and M6PR) from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. Furthermore, VPS26A is essential in the regulation of transcytosis of the polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (pIgR-pIgA). Expression analysis in yeast and mammalian cells reveal that VPS26A interacts directly with VPS35 that functions as the core of the retromer complex.
Description VPS26A Human Recombinant expressed in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 350a.a. (1-327 a.a) and having a molecular weight of 40.6kDa.VPS26A is fused to a 23a.a. His-tag at N-terminus and purified by unique purification methods.
