Product Overview

Tag N/A
Host Species Human
Synonym HLP3, HPCAL3, HUVISL1, VILIP, VILIP-1
Background VILIP-1, also known as VSNL1, is strongly expressed in granule cells of the cerebellum where it associates with membranes in a calcium-dependent manner and modulates intracellular signaling pathways of the central nervous system by directly or indirectly regulating the activity of adenylyl cyclase. VILIP-1 gene is a member of the visinin/recoverin subfamily of neuronal calcium sensor proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed, but their full-length nature has not been determined.
Description A DNA sequence encoding human VSNL1 (Gly2-Lys191) was expressed with a N-terminal Met.
Source E.coli
Predicted N Terminal Met
AA Sequence Gly2-Lys191
Molecular Weight The recombinant human VSNL1 consists of 191 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 22.1 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 19 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Purity >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE
