| Background | UBTD2 is an ubiquitin (Ub) domain-containing protein, originally recognized in dendritic cells, that takes part in ubiquitination pathway. Ubiquitin is the best understood post-translation modifier; however, there is a growing family of ubiquitin-like proteins (UBLs) who change cellular targets in a pathway. UbL proteins take part in a variation of cellular courses, like DNA repair, protein sorting, protein degradation, cell division, apoptosis and autophagy. |
