Synonym | 1R20, BL34, HEL-S-87, IER1, IR20 |
Background | RGS1 (regulator of G-protein signaling 1) has been associated with multiple autoimmune disorders including type I diabetes. RGS1 desensitizes the chemokine receptors CCR7 and CXCR4 that are critical to the localization of T and B cells in lymphoid organs. RGS1 expression may be a prognostic marker for risk stratification and a promising target for the development of a new Multiple myeloma (MM) therapy. The markers in the RGS1 gene might be in linkage disequilibrium with a protective allele that reduces the risk of anxiety and depressive disorders. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the human RGS1 (NP_002913.3) (Met1-Lys196) was expressed with a His tag at the N-terminus. |
Source | E.coli |
Predicted N Terminal | His |
AA Sequence | Met1-Lys196 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant human RGS1 consists of 214 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 24.7 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 28 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
