Host Species Human
Synonym NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta, NF-kappa-BIB, I-kappa-B-beta, IkB-B, IkB-beta, IkappaBbeta, Thyroid receptor-interacting protein 9, TR-interacting protein 9, TRIP-9, NFKBIB, IKBB, TRIP9.
Background NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta (NFKBIB) is a member of the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family, which inhibit NF-kappa-B by complexing with, and trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on these proteins by kinases marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thus allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B, which translocates to the nucleus to act as a transcription factor.
Description NFKBIB Human Recombinant expressed in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 380a.a. (1-356 a.a) and having a molecular weight of 40.3kDa (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).NFKBIB is fused to a 24a.a. His-tag at N-terminus and purified by unique purification methods.
