Product Overview
Tag | His |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | Q9NPA3 |
Synonym | G12-like, MIG12, S14R, STRAIT11499, THRSPL |
Background | MID1IP1 belongs to the SPOT14 family. It is a homodimer in the absence of THRSP. MID1IP1 interacts with ACACA and ACACB. It plays a role in the regulation of lipogenesis in liver. It up-regulates ACACA enzyme activity. MID1IP1 is required for efficient lipid biosynthesis, including triacylglycerol, diacylglycerol and phospholipid. MID1IP1 is involved in stabilization of microtubules. Its interaction with THRSP interferes with ACACA binding. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the human MID1IP1 (Q9NPA3 ) (Met1-His183) was expressed with a His tag at the N-terminus. |
Source | E.coli |
Predicted N Terminal | His |
AA Sequence | Met1-His183 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant human MID1IP1 consists of 198 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 22 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 28 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
