Product Overview
Tag | His |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | AAH14475.1 |
Synonym | KIAP, LIVIN, ML-IAP, MLIAP, RNF50 |
Background | BIRC7, a new member of inhibitor of the apoptosis protein family, is expressed in fetal tissues and most solid tumors in humans. BIRC7/livin expression is a novel prognostic marker in adult acute leukemia. Livin/BIRC7 is a member of the inhibitors of apoptosis proteins family, which are involved in tumor development through the inhibition of caspases. Livin/BIRC7 is specifically over-expressed in ACC, suggesting that it might be involved in adrenocortical tumorigenesis and represent a new molecular marker of malignancy. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the human BIRC7 (AAH14475.1) (Met1-Ser298) was expressed with a His tag at the C-terminus. |
Source | E.coli |
Predicted N Terminal | Met |
AA Sequence | Met1-Ser298 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant human BIRC7 consists of 304 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 33.6 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 35 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
Purity | >85% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | Please contact us for more information. |
Bioactivity | Measured by its ability to reverse the inhibition of DEVD-AFC cleavage activity in cell extracts activated by addition of cytochrome c and dATP.The IC50 for this effect is typically 0.6-3.0 uM. |
Formulation | Lyophilized from sterile 50 mM Tris, 200 mM NaCl, pH 8.0.. |
Stability | The recombinant proteins are stable for up to 1 year from date of receipt at -70°C. |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Storage | Store the protein under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
