Background | High Mobility Group Nucleosomal Binding Domain 3 (HMGN3), binds thyroidhormone receptor beta, however it occurs only in the presence of thyroidhormone. Thyroid hormone receptors are hormone-dependent transcription factorswhich regulate expression of a variety of particular target genes. HMGN3 is considered to reduce the compactnessof the chromatin fiber in nucleosomes, in that way enhancing transcription fromchromatin templates. |
