Recombinant Human CHRNA5 Protein (His Tag)

Recombinant Human CHRNA5 Protein (His Tag)

Beta LifeScience SKU/CAT #: BLPSN-1259

Product Overview

Tag His
Host Species Human
Accession NP_000736.2
Synonym LNCR2
Background Genetic variation in the cluster on chromosome 15, encoding the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor subunits (CHRNA5-CHRNA3-CHRNB4), has shown strong associations with tobacco consumption and an additional risk increase in smoking-related diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), peripheral artery disease and lung cancer. CHRNA5 may influence susceptibility to lung cancer among Han smokers. Genetic variation in nicotinic receptor alpha 5 (CHRNA5) has been associated with increased risk of addiction-associated phenotypes in humans.
Description A DNA sequence encoding the human CHRNA5 (NP_000736.2) (Met1-Thr254) was expressed with a His tag at the C-terminus.
Source HEK293
Predicted N Terminal Arg 23
AA Sequence Met1-Thr254
Molecular Weight The recombinant human CHRNA5 consists 243 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 28 kDa.
